The client was an aftermarket part supplier that needed to run a small production of a highly detailed plug for a gas tank on a vehicle.

They only had a 2D detailed drawing of the part and needed a perfect master for RTV molding process.

Model Labs converted the 2D detailed drawing to a 3D cad file.  Due the stringent part tolerance requirements, fine details such as raised text and draft angles and finish smoothness, Model Labs chose the Perfactrory XEDE machine to deliver the part.

The parts were delivered to the client on-time and on-budget.

Upon delivery of the part, the client stated ..."you guys obviously know what you're doing."
